Scheduled Deliveries
Scheduled deliveries refer to the offering of urgent and non-urgent ship-from-store deliveries based on delivery slots, rather than immediate pickup times. This allows us to create potentially larger, stacked routes for orders with more flexible delivery time windows.
Convenience & Cost
Delivery services were founded on the idea of convenience, and Stuart believes that scheduled deliveries will provide this to all parties involved. Our couriers will be able to stack more packages and optimize the best routes, maximizing their earnings. Our clients will benefit from more affordable and attractive prices to offer their customers. End customers will be able to choose a convenient delivery slot, knowing exactly when to expect their delivery, thereby reducing waiting times.
Diversify Your Offering
Scheduling a job with Stuart has never been easier. Through our job creation endpoint, simply set the "offering_type" as "scheduled" in the dropoff object and include the "end_customer_time_window_start" and "end_customer_time_window_end" fields. We will handle the rest.
This feature is also available on our dashboard via the "schedule a dropoff" option.
Scheduled Slots
We offer flexibility in the delivery windows you want to use and display to your customers:
- If you already have pre-existing slots, you can use pass it to us through the "end_customer_time_window" fields.
- If you need us to set up slots for you, please inform us and we will configure them in our end.
- You can then retrieve these slots using our get delivery slots endpoint, which will show your available slots and slot ID numbers.
- You can also provide these "slot_id" when calling our job creation endpoint to assign your delivery to a specific slot.
- Additionally, you can display our delivery slots on your frontend so your customers can choose the slots themselves.
