Katy Jarratt is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Energy and Industrial practices and oversees the firm’s sustainability work in the UK, which spans functional sustainability leadership, climate change technology, climate and sustainability private equity funds, and non-executive and advisory board roles relating to sustainability and societal impact. Katy has deep experience advising clients across industries on sustainable leadership, including recruiting chief sustainability officers, heads of ESG and other related functional leaders. She also works with clients in sustainable energy and climate change funds.
Strategic adviser on sustainability leadership
- Before joining Spencer Stuart, Katy ran her own advisory business, acting as a research analyst and offering due diligence and advisory across several sectors, including financial services, industrial, real estate, commodities and litigation support.
- Earlier, Katy was a travel and current affairs journalist for international magazines and newspapers.
- Katy began her career at Mentorn Media, where she worked in production on live current affairs output for BBC One. She also developed current affairs documentaries and investigations for BBC One, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
Katy serves on the advisory board of the Responsible 100 Forum, which ranks companies within the FTSE 150 on their efforts to create a safe, secure, sustainable future. She is also a trustee of ROSY (Respite Care for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngsters), a respite charity for terminally ill children. Katy earned her bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Durham University in the UK and also studied at City University in London, for a postgraduate diploma in television and current affairs journalism.
