Suzy Cobin is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Healthcare Practice. She operates at the convergence of the healthcare providers, technology companies, venture start-ups and private equity firms that are driving an evolution in healthcare services. With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, Suzy helps clients grow through thoughtful assessment of their strategic and leadership needs and draws on a deep network of relationships across the country to find the leaders who can best rise to the challenges of healthcare’s shifting dynamics.
Broad strategic healthcare expertise with innovative and high growth organizations
- Suzy has worked with a broad range of academic health systems, healthcare services organizations, investment and private equity firms and their boards to recruit CEOs, COOs, financial officers, clinical leaders, and new board members. She brings a distinct focus, track record and passion around diversity and identifying next generation leaders.
- Prior to entering search, Suzy spent nearly 15 years with The Advisory Board Company, a Washington, D.C.,-based firm providing best-practice research as well as IT and consulting services to the healthcare industry. In her role as a partner with the firm, she established senior hospital executive relationships across the country and led the business development efforts for the firm’s consulting and business intelligence practices. In addition, she was a frequent speaker on best practices regarding process improvement within hospitals; as well as best practices in physician alignment, clinical integration and population health strategies.
- Suzy began her career as an analyst in London; and later with a boutique healthcare consulting firm in Washington, D.C., which focused on the economics of shifting toward new payment systems and growth strategies for healthcare provider organizations.
A graduate of Franklin & Marshall College, Suzy earned her B.A. in government and was selected to serve as a diplomacy fellow with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Random Acts of Flowers and on the Guild Board of Chicago’s Lyric Opera.
