Stephen Hickey is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Leadership Advisory Services practice. He works with client leaders to ensure they are adopting contemporary solutions for their most important talent, culture, leadership and HR issues, aligned to their business and people strategies. He works with CHROs, CEOs and their leadership teams to help them show meaningful business impact from their investments. Stephen’s experience extends to change management, culture change, leadership team effectiveness, people strategy and HR functional effectiveness, and the design and implementation of leadership development and talent management programs. Stephen is based in Sydney and advises clients across a wide variety of industries in Australia and Asia Pacific.

Aligning talent and leadership strategies firmly to the business

  • Stephen was most recently a managing director and partner of Kincentric, a Spencer Stuart company. He held numerous leadership positions and was a member of the global executive leadership team. He also served as the Asia Pacific region lead with responsibility for clients, colleagues and business results across seven markets.
  • Stephen speaks regularly at client and public conferences and has published numerous research and thought leadership pieces, many of which have received coverage in the mainstream media.
  • Prior to joining Kincentric, Stephen was a manager at Accenture in their organizational change and human performance practice, where he led and managed numerous large organizational change programs for Australian organizations in the private and public sectors.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydney University.
